Horology and Hydrology– Limited Edition Plotter Print

This series draws on the tidal rhythms of the River Thames, translating its rise and fall into generative drawings. A custom algorithm transforms tidal data and specific moon phases into flowing, layered forms, which are then rendered by a drawing machine. The works capture the interplay between the Thames’ cycles and the passage of time, merging computational precision with the fluidity of water.

Rooted in the artist’s background in information systems and computational art, the series examines how technology can make the invisible patterns of the natural world tangible. Each drawing traces a moment in the life of the river, reflecting its connection to the city and the broader systems that shape it.
